Network Cable Tester SM-8868

Cable tester with LCD viewer that shows the results obtained in a clear and complete way. The following 4 functions appear in the main menu:

1. Wire Mapping : Get the continuity for each of the wires of the cable and the pin-out of them. The result obtained is a pin-out graphic on screen from pin-A to pin-B or error for each of the pins. It also shows those cases of crossing between two or more threads.
2. Cable Length : Function that allows to calculate the length of a cable. It has TDR technology (Time Domain Reflectometer) that measures the distance of the cable and the distance to a possible error if there is one. In this way you can repair damaged cables already installed and without having to re-install a new cable. It works at the level of pairs.
   
3. Scan Cable : For checking telephone cables, USBand coaxial. Check the continuity of it.
4. Calibrarion : Configuration and calibration of the Network Cable Tester.

Specifications

• LCD display of 128 x 64 pixels (48 x 32 mm).
• Size: 149 x 66 x 23 mm.
• Compatible with UTP, FTP, STP, Cat.5, Cat.5e, Cat.6, BNC coaxial, USB and TEL cables.
• The central unit has two female RJ45 connectors (Main and Loopback) to check UTP cables not installed (patch cords). It also has USB A female, BNC female and RJ11 female connectors.
• The remote terminator has female RJ45, RJ11 female, BNC female and USB B female connectors.
• Supplied with cable locator probe. The central unit transmits a frequency determined by the cable detected by the probe. Useful for detection of broken wires in cables already installedor for cable location in patch panel.
• The central unit has 4 control buttons.
• Works with type 9 VDC batteries (included).
• Transport case is supplied.
