This fiber optic pigtail is a high performance solution for connecting active and passive devices in a fiber optic network. It is a 2m long cable, 0.9mm in diameter and purple. The connector is SC with Ultra Physical Contact (UPC) polishing standard and the fiber type is OM4 multimode (MM). The cable is made with EASY STRIP construction and has a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) coating for improved safety and durability. The connector has an insertion loss of 50 dB and an operating temperature of -40 to 85 °C, with a minimum bend radius of 7.5 mm. Manufactured by Lanberg with reference FP-SCUP-MS41-0020-VT.

As network cables, fiber optic cables have their international standards. In this instance they are divided into OM1, OM2, OM3 and OM4. The difference between them is based on differences in bandwidth, speed, inside diameter as seen in the table below. To help clarify some concepts, would 9/125 (inside diameter/outside diameter).
