Original product info

Checker and locator of data cables by means of a probe. This cable tester allows you to check installed data cables, locate a cable and detect the point of failure in the cable thanks to the probe available. Designed to be used in telephone, network, twisted pair, etc. data cables. It consists of two parts:
  • Local tester or tone emitter with LCD viewfinder. It has two RJ45 connectors.for checking hoses or cables installed. It allows 4 selectable functions from the LCD viewer: Connection map, length of each of the pairs, tone and scan, configuration.
  • Remote tester and cable locator. It has female RJ45 connector and fault locator probe (cuts) that also allows the identification or location of the cable you want to check or find.

Technical terms

  • RJ45
RJ45
When we talk about RJ45 ("Registered Jack" 45) we refer to a telecommunications network interface for wired connection of voice and data equipment.

This connector has 8 pins or connections and may have a specific category depending on the data transfer speed and bandwidth (category 5e, 6, etc.)

The common application is their use in Ethernet network cables under TIA/EIA-568-B standard that defines the arrangement of pins (pinout), but can also be used for other applications.
